Last Friday, U.S. Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) delivered featured remarks at the Fifth Annual ACS National Convention. In his speech, Senator Schumer examined recent judicial nominations to the Supreme Court, as well as the confirmation process.
He said that "[g]iven the track record of this president and the experience of obfuscation at the hearings . . . . we should not confirm a Supreme Court nominee except in extraordinary circumstances."
