Document Depository Launched
A number of government watchdog groups launched GovernmentDocs.org, a repository of government documents acquired through FOIA and other public disclosure laws. Users can browse, search, and review tens of thousands of pages, and the site includes optical character recognition and full-text searches. The site also allows discussion between registered users.
GovernmentDocs.org was launched by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, the Sunlight Foundation, the Project on Government Oversight, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and Public Citizen.
