Making CRS Reports Publicly Available

Secrecy News blogs about legislation recently introduced that would require CRS reports to be provided online by the Senate Sergeant at Arms. The reports that would be made available include:

  • Congressional Research Service Issue Briefs
  • Congressional Research Service Reports that are available to Members of Congress through the Congressional Research Service website
  • Congressional Research Service Authorization of Appropriations Products and Appropriations Products.

Reports that are confidential or are the product of an individual, office, or committee research request would not be made publicly available.
