Hearings of note this week: On Tuesday, the Senate Judiciary Committee will consider the nomination of Judge Michael Mukasey to the position of U.S. Attorney General. On Thursday, the House Judiciary Committee will conduct an oversight hearing on torture, interrogation and treatment of detainees. Also on Thursday, the Senate Judiciary Committee will examine amendments to FISA, and consider four District Court judicial nominations.
