Dawn Johnsen: The Role of the OLC and DOJ

Today the Senate is holding a second day of hearings on the nomination of Judge Michael Mukasey to the office of U.S. Attorney General. One of the witnesses testifying is Dawn Johnsen, Professor of Law at Indiana University School of Law-Bloomington and former Acting Assistant Attorney General in the Office of Legal Counsel.

She spoke at an October 2007 event on principles to guide the Department of Justice. Below are excerpts from that panel discussion.
