S. Judiciary Committee Votes to Hold Rove and Bolton in Contempt of Congress
The Senate Judiciary Committee voted 12-7 to hold Karl Rove and Joshua Bolton in contempt of Congress for failing to comply with subpoenas requesting information and testimony related to the firing of nine U.S. attorneys, the Hill reported.
The full Senate is not expected to vote on the matter until January.
The House Judiciary Committee voted 22-17 in July to issue contempt citations to Joshua Bolton and Harriet Miers in July for the same matter, the Washington Post reported. The full House may vote on the citation as early as next week, according to the Hill.
