Two White House Officials Cited for Contempt
The House of Representatives voted to hold two senior White House officials in contempt, the New York Times reported. Joshua Bolton, the White House chief of staff, and Harriet Miers, a former White House counsel, refused to testify or provide documents to the House regarding their participation in the firing of federal prosecutors. The House Judiciary Committee approved contempt charges in July, as did the Senate Judiciary committee in December.
